EDUC 547 - First Field Experience Lab

Credit Hours: 1

The course is the first required practicum field experience for students seeking initial teaching licensure. Students will conduct 60 hours of field experience in an appropriate placement in a public-school classroom culminating in a 5-Task Teaching Event. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of teaching and learning and examine how best practices are applied within school settings. Students will work with large and small groups of students and actively reflect on their emerging professional knowledge.

Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program.
Concurrency: BLED 545 or EDUC 571 or EDUC 572 or EDUC 573 or SPED 528.
