EDUC 571 - Secondary Curriculum and Instruction

Credit Hours: 3

Using an interdisciplinary approach for curriculum development, this course focuses on integration of the Common Core State Standards, constructivist learning theory, instructional planning and assessment, differentiated instruction, and the knowledge, skills and dispositions required in a student centered classroom. Experience in developing thematic/integrated units of instruction and lessons using diverse instructional strategies is provided.

Prerequisite: EDUC 511 or Admission to Teacher Education Program.
Corequisite: EDUC 547.
