Return to: All Academic Programs
This minor is designed to help students engage in critical inquiry about various social systems that privilege some and oppress others (e.g., race, gender, and class). Students will explore the socio-historical contexts that have shaped social inequities. In the course, how these inequities can be best addressed and how they can reach meaningful social change will be examined. The minor is especially appropriate for students who anticipate working in advocacy roles in nonprofit or governmental organizations.
