Students pursuing a degree in Special Education must complete the nine credit hour education core and 27 graduate credit hours in Special Education. The Master of Arts in Teaching is awarded after successful completion of the 36 credit hours listed below. The program includes the required list of courses for individuals to add a Special Education license to an existing license.

PRAXIS:
Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades K-6 (5622)
or Grades 7-12 (5624) test passed. PRAXIS:
Special Education: Core Knowledge and Applications (5354) test passed. All Other Core/Professional Courses
All other core/professional courses must be completed prior to the last block of
hours, Capstone or Practicum. |
