Pre-Law Minor

This minor is designed primarily for students who are interested in attending law
school; however it provides a useful background for students interested in any
career where interaction with the legal system is anticipated. The coursework is
designed to acquaint students with legal concepts, but more importantly it is a
rigorous course of study that emphasizes writing, critical thinking, and logical
reasoning.

Pre-Law Core Requirements (12 credit hours)
Guided Elective Courses (9 credit hours)
Students choose three of the following. The three courses must be selected from at
least two different disciplines. Guided Elective Credit Hours 9
Total Credit Hours 21
Students must choose elective courses that are outside their major. For example, a
student with a major in criminal justice may not apply any of the criminal justice
courses listed above towards a minor in pre-law. For more information about this
