The mission of the Western New Mexico University School of Nursing is to promote health and improve the quality of life for diverse populations by providing nursing education which instills the values of community, nursing scholarship, practice and community service.

Western New Mexico University offers an RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (R.N.-to-B.S.N.) completion program and a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. Students who complete the nursing program are eligible to take the licensure examination for Registered Nurses. The School of Nursing offers two graduate nursing programs: the Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) in Community & Rural/Frontier Health and the Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate.
