ARTS 442 - Ceramics IV: Advanced Ceramics

Credit Hours: 4

Continued advanced skill development in wheel throwing and hand building techniques, students are expected to be competent in firing both gas and electric kilns - continued study of glaze chemistry and glaze making. Independent growth and development of one’s own voice in clay is strongly encouraged. A minimum of six additional hours each week required outside of class time involving a concentrated approach to wheel throwing and hand building.

Prerequisite: ARTS 441 AND ENGL 1120
