EDUC 447 - First Field Experience Lab

Credit Hours: 1

The course is the first required practicum field experience for students seeking initial teaching licensure. Students will conduct 60 hours of field experience in an appropriate placement in a public-school classroom culminating in a 5-Task Teaching Event. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of teaching an learning and examine how best practices are applied within a school settings. Students will work with large and small groups of students and actively reflect on their emerging professional knowledge. Service Learning.

Prerequisite: ENGL 1120 and Admission to the Teacher Education Program.
Concurrency: BLED 445 or EDUC 471 or 472 or 473 or ECED 479 or SPED 428.
Writing Intensive Writing Intensive.
