COUN 534 - Life Themes and Stages

The student will be introduced to the developmental approach to counseling in both the school and community setting. Community resources will be explored in the context of a developmental counseling program. Developmental theory will be related to preventive strategies assigned to keep the child mentally healthy. It will also present appropriate interventions for those individuals whose normal developmental processes have been affected by adverse internal or external forces.
